•Increase funding for neighborhood anti-crime programs
•Enact laws to protect women, children and other victims of abuse
•Require mandatory initial and continuing sensitivity training for all police officers
•Increase funding to send non-violent drug addicted offenders to treatment instead of jail to save millions – better spent on fighting violent crime
•Fight to keep guns out of the hands of children
Better our quality of life.
•Open a fulltime, full-service community office with evening and weekend hours to listen to constituents and help solve their problems
•Obtain funds to repair streets, parks, libraries and make needed improvements
•Create a Quality of Life taskforce to identify specific community problems
